What is Ask Robin?
Your soft space to land when life feels too heavy to carry alone. She’s a grief support companion, powered by emotionally intelligent AI, and created to help you process emotions, feel seen, and find gentle support in the moment.
Is my conversation with Robin private?
Yes. Your privacy matters deeply here. Everything you share with Robin is confidential and protected. We do not sell your data, and we’re committed to keeping your conversations secure.
Robin uses encrypted connections and stores the minimum information needed to help you interact meaningfully with her. While she’s not a therapist bound by HIPAA, we treat your emotional safety like it’s sacred, because it is.
Is Robin a therapist?
Nope. Robin isn’t a licensed therapist, but many people say she feels therapeutic. She doesn’t diagnose or treat, but she listens, affirms, asks thoughtful questions, and offers gentle guidance and tools to help you move through and with hard moments.
How do I talk to Robin?
Just start typing, seriously. You don’t need to phrase things perfectly or even know what you’re feeling. Robin is designed to meet you wherever you are: overwhelmed, angry, numb, hopeful, or even unsure of what you need.
What kind of things can I share with her?
Anything tugging at your heart. Grief from loss (of a person, a dream, a season), stress, anxiety, emotional burnout, tough transitions, or just trying to hold it together. Robin doesn’t judge, she’s here and designed for it all.
Is this only for grief?
Grief is a big part of what Robin supports, but she’s also here for everyday overwhelm, heartbreak, change, and emotional exhaustion. If you’re navigating something tender, Robin can hold space with you.
Is Robin a crisis tool?
Robin is not a crisis tool. If you’re in immediate danger or feeling unsafe, please reach out to a professional or crisis hotline. Robin will always encourage you to protect your safety first and will link to emergency resources if the conversation gets too heavy.
Why was Robin created?
Robin was created by Dr. Rhea Perkins, the founder of Away Message, as a deeply personal response to grief, loss, and emotional overwhelm. She wanted a space to process without needing to perform and Robin was born from that need.
Robin is named after Rhea’s late mother, a nod to the wisdom, warmth, and quiet strength mothers often give us. Every time you talk to Robin, you're engaging with a tool built from love, loss, and the hope that no one has to grieve alone.
